Step 1

Complete International student application for admission. The Application form can be downloaded from this link:

Step 2

The Admissions Coordinator of the Institute will review your application and inform you regarding course acceptance. We aim to notifying students within 5 working days after the receipt of the application.

In the event that you are accepted, we will send you an official Letter of Offer by postal mail & email.

Step 3

Having received the Letter of Offer you will need to furnish some documents to be able to apply for your visa.

Full Medical and Chest X-ray Certificate All certificates must be less than 3 months old at the time you lodge your application. Police Verification Form / Police Clearance Certificate from the Passport Office
Financial Undertaking for a Student / Evidence of financial support while in New Zealand.	Financial Undertaking for a Student (1014)
IELTS Test Certificate with a band score of minimum 4.5 overall. You will need to pass the General Category IELTS test with a minimum band of 4.5

Step 4

At this point you will apply for a student visa with the supporting documents.

You would be given a provisional visa. You will further need to complete the following processes and apply again for the full visa.

International Student Insurance You will need to get a Student insurance and attach the proof of the same along with you visa application. You can get the relevant insurance from the link mentioned on the right.	Website Link
Payment of Tuition Fees (in full) The tuition fees should be paid in full to the Public Trust. The Public trust upon receipt of the fee, would inform us and we will send you a confirmation receipt with all the details of the payment.	Website Link
Payment of Accommodation & Maintenance Costs Please refer to Student Visa/Permit Guide (INZ 1013) PDF for information regarding the accommodation and maintenance costs.

Step 5

You will be given a receipt upon the payment of tuition fees. This receipt will be accompanied by the “Letter of Acceptance”.

Upon submitting this receipt and other relevant documents, you will be granted a Full Visa.

ADDITIONAL INFORMATION

Refund Conditions

Courses of three months or more duration:

If the student withdraws within the first eight days of the course the student will receive a full refund of all course fees paid by the student less a processing and administration fee of $500.00, or 10% of the course cost, whichever is the lesser amount
No refunds are provided after the first eight days of the course

Cancellation of training by Techtorium:

Techtorium reserves the right to cancel training courses due to insufficient demand, unavailability of suitable training staff or facilities or similar major problems. In all cases if the students are enrolled on the cancelled course the student will be offered alternative training dates or a refund.

Withdrawal from the programme:

If the student wishes to withdraw from the course the student must put the request in writing and hand it to the Principal.

IELTS Level 4.5 minimum

Information on Facilities

Techtorium has a modern tertiary education facility in Newmarket (see Location). There are three classrooms including a well-equipped computer room, a theory room and a practical room. Techtorium also sports a kitchen and lunchroom with soft drink and snack vending machines and a microwave. Being in the hub of Newmarket, there are also a great variety of cafes, restaurants and fast food outlets close by.

We are very close to public transport - such as buses and trains and there are a number of car parks close by.

International students must have appropriate and current medical and travel the full length of time they are studying in New Zealand. New Zealand Insurance cover will be accepted only or An overseas insurance policy will only be accepted if it is accompanied by an English translation.

Techtorium New Zealand Institute of Information Technology has agreed to observe and be bound by the Code of Practice for the Pastoral Care of International Students published by the Minister of Education. Immigration
Full details of visa and permit requirements, advice on rights to employment in New Zealand while studying, and reporting requirements are available through the New Zealand - Immigration Service, and can be viewed on their website at http://www.immigration.govt.nz

Eligibility for Health Services
Most international students are not entitled to publicly funded health services while in New Zealand. If you receive medical treatment during your visit, you may be liable for the full costs of that treatment. Full details on entitlements to publicly-funded health services are available through the Ministry of Health and can be viewed on their website at http://www.moh.govt.nz

Accident Insurance
The Accident Compensation Corporation provides accident insurance for all New Zealand citizens, residents and temporary visitors to New Zealand, but you may still be liable for all other medical and related costs. Further information can be viewed on the ACC website at http://www.acc.co.nz

Medical and Travel Insurance
International students must have appropriate and current medical and travel insurance while studying in New Zealand.

N.B. Students must provide evidence of appropriate and current medical and travel insurance. This insurance must cover the full length of time spent in New Zealand.
An overseas Insurance policy will only be accepted if it is accompanied with an English translation.

The college will keep a record of the Insurance Policy number and the type of cover provided.
