The Diploma in PC Support equips you to support PCs and PC networks in the business environment.
You will learn how to support PC hardware, networks and operating system software. You will become
proficient in PC installations, upgrades, maintenance and troubleshooting.

Educational Pathway Options
If you want to continue your studies, successful completion of the Techtorium Diploma in PC Support will ensure you meet the entry level criteria for Bachelor programs in computer studies at a number of universities in Auckland and around the country.
All external exams are at your discretion. You only pay the external CompTIA exam fees
if you choose to sit them. Being NZQA accredited, you are eligible to apply for a student loan.

Examinations and Certification
You are evaluated and tested for understanding by Techtorium. The Diploma in PC Support
(DipPCEng) is approved and accredited by NZQA as a Level 5 Diploma. You will receive the Diploma upon
successful completion of the course. You may also elect to sit the external CompTIA exams for the A+, Network+
and Internet+ certificates, and a Microsoft Certified Professional (MCP) exam.
Selection Criteria
Minimum of four years secondary education with level 2 numeracy and level 2 literacy with a preference for students who have achieved level 2 NCEA. Students must be 17 years or over at the beginning of the course.
English language proficiency is required (IELTS 4.0), as is a strong desire to work in the IT industry.
Applicants who do not meet this criteria will be assessed individually at interview.
